The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that "we must strengthen the construction of a social psychological service system and foster a self-respecting self-confidence,rational peace,and a positive social mentality." Promoting the construction of a social psychological service system with Chinese characteristics in the new era,it is an important measure for the party and the state to build socialist spiritual civilization in the new era.The mental health education is an important part of the ideological and political work in colleges and universities,and an important part of the university personnel training system.College students in the new era must not only have strong physical quality,exquisite professional knowledge,good political quality,noble moral quality,but also have a strong psychological quality,a positive and healthy social mentality,in order to adapt to the changes in social development,meet the needs of the country's talents and grow into talents.Therefore,under the new situation,based on the characteristics of ideological and political education in Chinese colleges and universities,combined with the current situation of mental health education in contemporary colleges and universities,how to examine the situation and tasks more consciously,focus on the growth needs of college students,and deepen the development of connotation,in order to innovate the work model,and enhance the effectiveness of mental health education.It is an educational problem that needs to be solved urgently in the ideological and political work of colleges and universities.Guided by Marxist theory,the article uses theories and methods of ideological and political education,combined with the research results of related disciplines such as psychology,education,sociology,etc.,through literature research,investigation and theoretical analysis,to carry out research on the mental health education model of universities based on ideological and political education,to explore the psychological education system of colleges and universities under the new situation with a large number of literature research and theoretical analysis,in order to promote the professionalization and standardization of mental health education in colleges and universities,promotes the improvement and development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new era,and strive to cultivate new people in the era of all-round development.The main body of the article is divided into three parts:The first part reviews the development of mental health education from the "medical model" to the "educational model" by reviewing the development of mental health education in colleges and universities,and analyzes the basic characteristics and development changes of different modes,and the main problems existing in the current college mental health education in China;the second part clarifies the "Ideological and Political" attribute of college mental health education,explores its connotation and essential characteristics,clarifies the basic orientation of mental health education,and analyzes the internal structure of mental health education model,it mainly includes the five-part structure of educational goals,principles,contents,approaches and mechanisms;the third part constructs the model of mental health education based on ideological and political education,puts forward the practical countermeasures,and establishes the model index system by the CIPP theory of model-constructing,in order to integrate the model of mental health education based on ideological and political education,and design the "Three-full education" method,in order to achieve full-member,whole-process,all-round psychological education,comprehensively improve the effectiveness of ideological and political work in colleges and universities.
