As China's curriculum reform continues to deepen, paying attention to people becoming the core concept of the new curriculum-"everything for the development of each student" is its specific performance, which means:First, pay attention to every student;second Focus on students'emotional life and emotional experience.Third, pay attention to students'moral life and personality development. The historical education,in essence,is the education of students'personality, and it is the education to cultivate students'correct values and attitudes. This article selects the 2007 PEP high school history textbook as a reference object and the modern intellectuals(1840-1919)group as the research object, mainly because this group plays a more significant role in history and reflects the spiritual value embodied in them. With a strong national spirit, this article examines the images they present in high school history textbooks, relies on several important historical events, and explores the different images they displayed in different historical periods, and the image of each period. After a brief summary,it was discovered that in the PEP textbooks, there was an over-patterned image of this group. The identity they presented in textbooks was too single, and the textbooks did not create enough images for this group to reflect them. The spirit of the connotation and so on,in response to these problems, the paper proposes feasible suggestions from the three perspectives of textbooks, learning, and teachers.
