Analysis On The Hotspots And Trends Of Adult Education Based On Mapping Knowledge Domain

The theory of adult education is the foundation of the adult education discipline.Self-reflection and self-criticism in adult education research are important conditions for maintaining the vitality of the discipline and ensuring that the discipline advances along the scientific road.In the era of big data in the 21st century,information technology is developing at a high speed,and the speed of knowledge update is accelerating.To ensure the continuous development of adult education,a scientific and comprehensive research method is needed to grasp the historical development of adult education,and then accurately detect adult education.Research hotspots and predict future trends to provide reference and guidance for future researchers.Compared with the traditional statistical analysis methods,the use of scientific knowledge map knowledge to visualize the adult education research literature in China can more objectively and scientifically show the development of adult education research.This research uses CNKI as the data source and Cite Space information visualization software as the research tool to analyze the adult education degree thesis and journal paper in CNKI database from 2008 to 2018.Firstly,through the statistics of 2008-2018 dissertations and journal papers,trends,research institutions,author groups,etc.,we have learned about the basic situation of adult education research in China in the past ten years.Secondly,we combined high-frequency keywords with keyword knowledge map.Then the research hot spots of dissertations and journal articles are analyzed separately.It is concluded that the research hotspots of adult education in China mainly include community education,continuing education,lifelong education and lifelong learning,adult higher education,modern distance education,teacher continuing education and professional development,adult learning theory,old-age education,cadre education,and adult education discipline construction;finally,through the emergence of key words and time series maps to analyze the research trends of dissertations and journal articles,we found that the trend of adult education research in China mainly concluded that to explore the transformation and development of adult higher education deeply,to focus on lifelong education system and learning-oriented society construction,to pay more attention to adult education learning subjects and adult learning theory research.we also think,on the one hand rural adult education and migrant workers education and old-age education will receive more attention.On the other hand teachers continuing education research and modern distance education research will be more abundant,and more researchers will invest in adult education discipline research.
