Objective:Physical ability of players is an important factor that restricts and affects the overall performance level of the team.It is a common purse for all Chinese Super League(CSL)teams to improve the running performance of players by understanding their running characteristics during competitions. In year 2018,the CSL was suspended for 55 days, and it was a huge challenge for players' physical fitness.By comparing the running characteristics of CSL soccer game between non-congested fixture and congested fixture,so as to provide theoretical supportive information and reference for improving the training, technical and tactical arrangements of players in CSL.Methods:The present study made use of the literature, and employed video analysis method, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis, logical analysis and other research methods,16 CSL teams in 2018 year,30 rounds of competitions with a total 240 games covering 3392 players were studied in this study.AMISCO game analysis software was used to analyse the running characteristics of players from different playing positions(centre back,CB;full-back,FB;central midfielder,CM;wide midfielder,WM,and forward,FW).Results:1.From the perspective of running distance, there were significant differences in the total average running distance(NF:9973±879m VS CF:9864±856m,t=3.66,P<0.05,ES=0.12)and high-intensity running distance(NF:476±205m VS CF:459±207m,t=2.42,P<0.05,ES=0.08)between non-congested and congested fixture. And the difference mainly observed in the high-speed running distance, and the running distance of non-congested fixture was significantly lower than that of non-congested fixture week(NF:264±108m VS CF:252±108 m,t=3.28,P<0.05,ES=0.11),however,there was no significant difference in sprint distance(NF:476±205m VS CF:459±207m,t=1.18,P>0.05,ES=0.04);Among them, the CM(10501±725m VS 10292±719m,t=4.13,P<0.01,ES=0.29),CB(9303±739m VS 9189±700m,t=2.42,P<0.05,ES=0.15),FB(10091±647m VS 9959±696m,t=2.51,P<0.01,ES=0.20)averaged the total running distance of non-congested fixture was significantly lower than that of non-congested fixture, however, there was no significant difference in the FW,WM(P>0.05,ES=0.02,0.07);The FW,WM,CB,FB players had no significant difference between non-congested and congested fixture in the high-intensity running distance(P>0.05,ES=0.05,0.16,0.05,0.29)and high-speed running distance(P>0.05,ES=0.08,0.10,0.11,0.08)separately;only the CM players averaged a high intensity running distance(NF:471±192m VS CF:440±193m,t=2.32,P<0.05,ES=0.16),high-speed running distance(NF:282±102m VS CF:257±101m,t=3.47,P<0.01,ES=0.25)of non-congested fixture was significantly lower than that of non-congested fixture; The FW,WM,CM,CB,FB had no significant difference between non-congested and congested fixture in the sprint distance separately(P>0.05,ES=0.02,0.05,0.14,0.02,0.07),2.From the perspective of running number of times, the average number of non-congested fixture on high-intensity running(29±12n VS 28±12n,t=3.07,P<0.05,ES=0.08)and high-speed running(19±8n VS 18±8n,t=3.45,P<0.01,ES=0.13)was significantly lower than that of non-congested fixture, however, there was no significant difference in the average number of sprint running(10±5n VS 9±5n,t=1.94,P>0.05,ES=0.20);Among them, there was no significant difference in the number of sprint running(P>0.05,ES=0.10,0.17,0.13,0.00)between non-congested and congested fixture at FW,WM,CB,FB separately, only the central midfielder players averaging the number of high-intensity running(29±11n VS CF:27±11n,t=2.981,P<0.05,ES=0.18),the number of high-speed running(20±7t VS 19±7n,t=3.68,P<0.01,ES=0.14)of congested fixture was significantly lower than that of non-congested fixture. There was no significant difference in the average sprint times of the five positions(P>0.05,ES=0.00,0.20,0.00,0.30,0.00)between non-congested and congested fixture separately.3.The position factor had significant effect on the players' running performance, and the schedule factor had significant effect on the players' total running distance,high-intensity running distance and number of times,high-speed running distance and number of times, sprint running number, but it had no significant effect on the players' sprint running distance, and there was no significant interaction between the two factors.Conclusions:1.Congested fixtures reduced the running distance and number of times of Chinese super league players with high intensity and high speed, but had no effect on the sprint running distance and times;2.From different positions, congested fixtures reduced the running distance and number of times at CM with high-intensity and high-speed,but had no effect on sprint running distance and number of times; It had no effect on the high-intensity running performance at FW,WM,CB,FB.3.Players' running distance and number of times in matches vary with different positions and different competition schedules(non-congested VS congested fixture). There is no significant interaction between position factors and schedule factors.By comparied the data of players at different positions in non-congested and congested fixtures,it was found that congested fixtures reduce the variabilities between different positions.
