In the education process of higher vocational colleges,the content and data related to the student's grades and curriculum settings are very complicated,including: specialty category information,information on the number of students in school and graduated,and the number of curriculum that students need to learn,information on the relationship between curriculum scores and pre-requisite courses and follow-up courses,the employer's requirements for the curriculum,etc.These factors lead to a huge amount of data on student achievement data and course information.This thesis uses data mining technology to analyze the performance of students in the mechanical and electrical engineering department of a vocational and technical college in Lanzhou.It finds out the factors that can affect students' academic performance so as to promote teaching.Fully consider the employer's requirements for the curriculum and analyze the curriculum to better develop the teaching plan.The main work of this thesis are as follows:(1)The current utilization of educational data in higher vocational colleges is analyzed in this thesis firstly,and the current situation of data mining of educational data at domestic and foreign is studied.In view of the existing problems,the main research contents of this thesis are put forward.Then,the related theories of data mining technology were studied,and the theory of association rules was studied systematically.The improvement measures were proposed for the problems of the basic Apriori algorithm.(2)Aiming at the problems that existing in the student performance management system of a higher vocational college in Lanzhou,the Apriori algorithm was used to conduct data mining in the mechatronics technology major of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 2008-2017,the relationship of the intrinsic knowledges of these data are discovered,the reasons that affect student achievement are found out.Theoretical data support is provided to improve teachers' effectiveness in teaching in the future.(3)Combining the feedback information of the employer on specialty knowledge and course requirements,the association rule theory was used to mine the inner relationships of the specialty curriculum,the requirements of the course and the employer for specialty theoretical knowledge,Course and employer requirements for curriculum.These results provide a basis for the re-planning of professional courses and the revision of the talent training plan for future institutions.
