In the Internet era,the research on the user demand of online reading in primary schools is conducive to understanding the srowth of children who born in the new century.Lots of studies have shown that different cultures and economic levels in different regions will indirectly affect user demand,but the current situation in China is not clear.In order to explore the user demand of online reading of primary school students in different cultural regions and economic regions,this study based on the perspective of psychological measurement,using the Item Response Theory's GPCM model to analyze the data.Finally,the study draws the following conclusions:First,through the k-medoids clustering analysis,students of each grade are divided into groups with high reading ability,middle reading ability and low reading ability group.The online education platform needs to provide more difficult reading materials for students of the high reading ability group,moderate difficulty reading materials for students of the middle reading ability group,and more easy reading materials for students of the low reading ability group.At the same time,it is suggested to provide more reading exercises related to overall perception for fifth-grade students of medium readinu ability group and more reading exercises related to language foundation for fifth-grade students of high reading ability group.Second,the research sample is divided into four cultural regions according to geographical location:northern region,southeast region,central region and western region.Students from different cultural regions have different demand for online reading.Third,the sample is divided into four economic regions according to housing prices:economically developed regions,economically middle regions,economically inferior regions,and economically underdeveloped regions.Students in different economic regions also have different demand for online reading.
