General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the National Education Conference that efforts should be made to build an education system that comprehensively cultivates moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetics and labor education,meticulously train and organize a political work team that will do ideological and political management and apply this into daily life and on persons.Colleges and universities shoulder the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating elites.Tutors in university are even the backbones of conducting ideological and political education for college students,and they are the organizers,implementers and instructors of the daily ideological and political education and management for college students.The construction of the ability of college tutors is closely related with the cultivation of socialism builders and successors who have a comprehensive development of moral,intellectual,physical,artistic and labor work,the practice of colleges' fundamental task in strengthening moral education and cultivating elites,and the improvement of the attraction,cohesion and infection of ideological and political work in colleges.In the new era,with the rapid development of the world's multi-polarization,economic globalization,cultural pluralism,and social informatization,university students are gradually showing their characteristics such as changeable thoughts,value diversification,individuality and complex behaviors.Based on this fact,whether university tutors can understand students' feelings,and give appropriate feedbacks according to students' thinking and behaviors determine the result of the interaction between tutors and students whether it is effective or not,which directly affects whether those tutors could successfully engage on ideological and political education work.Empathy as one of the important mental factors of interpersonal interaction is an essential ability and quality that college tutors should possess.Enhancing the tutors' empathy ability is an effective way to meet students' needs and expectations to grow and develop and to improve the affinity and pertinence of ideological and political education.On the basis of reviewing the literature on empathy ability and work of college tutors and being supported by empirical research,the study made the research on the reality of the condition and strategies of promoting college tutors' empathy ability.This research mainly includes four parts: Introduction,Review of Domestic and International Research,Research Background,Impact of the study,Methodology and Thinking Patterns.Chapter 1 mainly talks about the fundamental theory of college tutors' empathy ability,including concept connotation,dimension structure and the determination of basic characteristics,as well as the support of relevant theories and methodology in Marxist theory,splendid Chinese traditional culture,ideological and political education and psychology which construct the foundation of the whole study.In Chapter 2,by reviewing the literature and conducting questionnaires and in-depth interviews,it is aimed at studying the current condition of college tutors' empathy ability and analyzing the potential factors that could influence college tutors' empathy ability,which is the premise to improve the tutors' empathy ability and the key to the overall research.In Chapter 3,the focus of the entire study is to concern the fundamental tasks of strengthening moral education and cultivating elites and the basic requirements of the tutors' ideological and political work in the new era,combine the current situation of college tutors' empathy ability and explore the strategies of promoting college counselors' empathy ability.Firstly,to strengthen the training system of college tutors' empathy and cognitive ability,including playing its main role in … and improving the effectiveness of education,focusing on key issues,constructing a well-rounded content system;adhering to system linkage and expanding the type of education forms.Secondly,to construct the practical field to build college tutors' empathy comprehension ability,including awakening the tutors' sense of educational mission,strengthening the daily communication and creating an emotional and interactive educational situation between the tutor and students.Thirdly,to improve the systematic construction of college tutors' empathy feedback ability,including the establishment of a sound mechanism of empathy feedback,a way to smooth the empathy feedback,and a method of innovative empathy feedback.
