Investigation And Research On The Influence Of Willpower On Mathematics Learning Of Rural Students In Grade Two | | Posted on:2020-06-15 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:G Y Yang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2417330596474349 | Subject:Subject teaching | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | A large number of studies have shown that willpower is an important part of people’s non-intellectual factors.The strength of willpower not only affects students’ academic performance,but also affects students’ value judgment,emotional experience,learning interest and motivation.In addition,it also affects the decision and implementation process of learning willingness.With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,it is particularly important to exercise students’ will by overcoming difficulties.The students of Grade two are in adolescence,which is a crucial period for shaping personality and cultivating willpower.The cultivation of willpower is not independent but should be integrated into the education and teaching of various disciplines.Therefore,the research on willpower and mathematics learning has become an important subject on mathematics education research.This study attempts to explore the factors affecting the willpower of students in Grade two through the investigation and research on the influence of willpower on the learning of rural students in Grade two,hoping to provide some theoretical and practical references for front-line teachers to cultivate the willpower of students.This study first elaborated the research background,clarified the research purpose and significance on the basis of a large number of references,and summarized the definition of willpower based on the research results at home and abroad.Then based on the theoretical thinking and practical demands,through a questionnaire survey of the students in Grade two in a rural junior middle school,the thesis studies the willpower,family factors and the relationship of students’ mathematics result in Grade two.Through the case study method,interview method,it analyzes the status of students’ willpower,putting forward pertinently and constructively the cultivation strategies and practice of rural students’ willpower in Grade two.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: there is a significant correlationbetween the results of the unified test of mathematics at the end of the last semester and willpower of students in Grade two of this school.When the significance level is0.01,the corresponding test associated probability value is 0.003<0.01,and it is positively correlated.There was a significant difference in willpower between the excellent and poor students in the final math test of the last semester(Sig=0.001<0.05).The difference in achievement and willpower between male and female students is not significant,while the achievement of Grade two students is greatly affected by whether they receive parental care and supervision in the family.Further analysis shows that students themselves,family and school are the main influencing factors of students’ willpower in Grade two.On the basis of the study,according to the actual situation of rural schools,the author puts forward some Suggestions on willpower: take advantage of the mathematics discipline characteristic in junior two to improve students’ willpower,strengthen models to improve students’ willpower,strengthen students’ self-exercise to improve their willpower,and create a good environment to improve the students’ willpower in schools and families. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Willpower, Students of junior grade two, Mathematics study, Cultivation | PDF Full Text Request |
