Improving the quality of preschool education and improving children's readiness for schooling have become a major trend in the development of preschool education in countries around the world in the new era.Preschool education in the United States is far ahead of the world.The Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten(VPK)program is currently the largest state preschool program in the United States,which aims to promote children's readiness.Therefore,this paper takes the program as the main research object,and analyzes the background,general situation and other related knowledge of Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten(VPK)program,and analyzes how the program prepares children for school in the implementation of the curriculum standards and further explore the significant achievements of the VPK program in the implementation process and further understand the problems and challenges in the implementation of the Florida VPK program from a historical and realistic perspective.This research is divided into the following five parts: The introduction part is the beginning of this research,mainly introduces the research origin,research objectives,research problems,research methods and literature review.The first chapter introduces the background of the voluntary Pre-Kindergarten(VPK)program in Florida.This chapter analyzes the background of the program from four aspects: the promotion of the great wave of education reform,the influence of popularizing the preschool education movement,the requirements for school preparation and the citizen's initiative to amend the constitution.The second chapter explains the general situation of the voluntary Pre-Kindergarten(VPK)program in Florida.This chapter analyzes the historical traceability of the program from a historical perspective and introduces the content of the program from the aspects of admission qualification,service organization and administrative supervision and program quality and analyzes the implementation status of the program.The third chapter analyzes the curriculum standards of the implementation of the voluntary Pre-Kindergarten(VPK)program in Florida.This chapter analyzes the curriculum standards from four areas: the concepts followed by the standards,the areas covered by the standards,the principles followed by the standards,and the characteristics of the standards.The fourth chapter analyzes and summarizes the achievements,limitations and challenges of the voluntary Pre-Kindergarten(VPK)program in Florida.
