Social Work Research On The Psychological Adjustment Of Female Cosmetic Surgery Failure

Since the beginning of the new century,plastic surgery leads the trend of fashion has begun to enter people's lives.Although it has become a universally accepted social phenomenon,a series of increasingly prominent problems such as increased cosmetic risks,cosmetic surgery failure and cosmetic surgery deaths,have aroused extensive attention from our society and related academic circles.Most of the existing studies about cosmetic surgery failure focus on the perspective of medicine and psychology.These achivements are not only lack of research on the intrinsic initiative of people who failed in cosmetic surgery,but also lack of comprehensive perspectives,humanistic care and social support network perspectives.With regard to the irrational cognition,emotional abnormality and behave unsociably of the female who failed in cosmetic surgery,this paper uses the social work case study method combined with role cognition theory and rational emotion theory to adjust their psychological state and especially give full play to the social support network role of family members and peer groups,provides a support system for the client,in the hope of helping them to establish correct cognition,stabilize sentiment,get out of the self-enclosed world and ultimately integrate into the social life.Through the psychological adjustment of the client,the author made a professional reflection and summarizes the advantages of social work intervention in the case study of the female who failed in cosmetic surgery,namely the innovation of service methods and the diversification of service content.It finds that social work has a series of limitations in the process of intervention such as ethical dilemmas,role conflicts and repetitiveness and deficiencies in follow-up.Finally,on the basis of the research in this paper,the author puts forward with some targeted suggestions,for example,to provide pointed professional services,to protect the privacy of the client and to help the client obtain more social support,help the client to get out of the psychological plights and return to the society.
