Research On The Influence Of Family Factors On College Students' Career Choice In The Period Of Career Preparation

College students are in the explorative stage of career development,lacking of the capacity of career cognition and choice.In recent years,increasingly severe situation in job market confronted college students,so it is necessary for school and family to provide them with help and guidance.Individualized socialization begins family,and family affects personal career choice in Chinese context.Therefore,exploring the mechanism behind the influence of family on college students' career choice from individualized socialization perspective may help to effectively manage and guide college students' career choice and planning.This study explores the mechanism behind the influence of family factors on career choice from the perspective of individual socialization,which covers the following contents.The study of factors affecting college students' career choice and its relationship with family,the mechanism behind the influence of family factors on career choice and the application of the research result in the management and teaching practice of career development.Based on Grounded Theory,410 college students in the period of career preparation from 621 students were sampled,and the report of native families and self-growth and the report of the career planning were analyzed with Nvivo11.0 software.The results are as follows:(1)As the initial environment of individualized socialization,family plays an important role in the socialization of individuals.Structural factors and procedural factors affect the individualized socialization as a dynamic system in the subjective and objective family environment.Among them,the structural variables as distal variables affect the procedural variables,and subjective family environment affect the objective family environment.(2)When making career choices,college students in the period of career preparation are mainly influenced by personalities,background factors and learning experiences.These factors interact with each other,most of which are closely linked with families.(3)Family factors affect the career choice by influencing the individual career decision-making self-efficacy in the process of individual socialization.The effect of family factors on career choice is multivariate in a system.On the one hand,family factors mainly affect personality by influnencing career decision-making self-efficacy through the impact of individual socialization;On the other hand,different dimensions of family factors affect background factors and learning experiences directly or indirectly.The career choice of college students is not only influenced by family factors,but also by individuals and schools.In the end,suggestions for individual,family and school were made to encourage college students to better complete the career planning and career choice.
