With the development of positive psychology, more and more people realized the importance of well-being for individuals, and how to promote the individuals' well-being has become a hot research topic. As the process of social development, different minority national cultures are exchanging and deeply integrating, and the different minority national cultures and customs are also colliding and blending. Thus inevitably produced some of the contradictions and conflicts between the different minority national cultures, these greatly influenced the level of ethnic national minority individuals' well-being.Therefore,it is very important for the ethnic national minority individuals' well-being and mental health to integrates their own culture and mainstream culture. However, previous studies about the relationship of bicultural identity integration(BII)and subjective well-being are few, which call for more comprehensive researches. This study is based on the theory of bicultural identity integration, and based on the background of multi minority national cultures in China. We randomly selected the Tibetan college students and high school students of Northwest China as the subjects,In order to further verify the relationship of bicultural identity integration and subjective well-being,and chose the personality variable(self-esteem),to explore the moderating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between bicultural identity integration and subjective well-being.In Experiment1,163 Tibetan college students were selected as subjects, the bicultural identity integration scale,Rosenberg self-esteem scale and subjective well-being scale were investigated. The results showed that:(1)Tibetan college students' bicultural identity integration,self-esteem and subjective well-being were at the medium high level;(2)Tibetan college students' bicultural identity integration,self-esteem all have a significant predictive effect on their subjective well-being;(3)On the cultural harmony & cultural conflict dimension of BII,self-esteem has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between BII and subjective well-being;but on the cultural blendedness & cultural distance dimension of BII,the moderating effect of self-esteem was not significant. In Experiment2,97 Tibetan high school students were selected as subjects, theselection of the scale is as same as the Experiment1,and the measurement of implicit self-esteem(implicit association test,IAT)is added, and then try to examine the moderating effects of explicit self-esteem,implicit self-esteem on the relationship between bicultural identity and subjective well-being.The results showed that:(1)Tibetan high school students' bicultural identity integration,self-esteem and subjective well-being were at a high level,at the same time, they all have implicit self-esteem effect;(2)Tibetan high school students' bicultural identity integration, explicit self-esteem,implicit self-esteem all have a significant predictive effect on their subjective well-being;(3)Same as Experiment1,on the cultural harmony &cultural conflict dimension of BII,explicit self-esteem has a significant moderating effect;but on the cultural blendedness & cultural distance dimension of BII,the moderating effect of explicit self-esteem was not significant. And this study further found that: different from explicit self-esteem's moderating effect,on the two dimensions of BII,the moderating effect of implicit self-esteem were significant. These results of this study will further enrich the researchs and theorys of subjective well-being,bicultural identity integration, and self-esteem in related fields. At the same time, results of this study provides a new perspective for how to promote the minority national individuals' well-being,and provides positive suggestions and countermeasures for the harmony of different national minorities' relationship and the social harmony and stability.
