A Case Study On Psychological Adjustment Of Rural Boarding Students

With the increase of the number of rural boarding schools,the scale of boarding students is also expanding.Many rural students have changed from day-to-day students to boarding students.However,for many immature students,when the unexpected boarding life completely breaks their original life and learning mode,it may produce a series of psychological problems,such as improper handling,which may have a negative impact on future learning and life.How to make this part of students get psychological adjustment,actively adapt to this change,and even get "new students",social work has a lot of room for intervention.This study a rural primary school a boarder in Fuyang city as a case,the advantage of perspective theory and social support network theory and attachment theory,under the guidance of integrated use of rational emotion,psychosocial therapy treatment mode and process technology is reviewed,and psychological adjustment of students just entering a boarding life,psychological adjustment and refining case work methods in rural boarders local experience.The intervention process is mainly divided into two stages:cognitive adjustment and reconstruction of support network.In the stage of cognitive adjustment,rational emotional therapy is used to treat negative self-perception and irrational beliefs of friends,tap self-potential and find self-confidence points;in the stage of rebuilding support network,under the guidance of dominant perspective theory and social support network theory,psychosocial therapy mode is used to intervene in the hostel of the case,to help the dormitory members improve communication channels and enrich social support network.Collaboration promotes the case owner to adapt to boarding life more quickly.Through the effect evaluation,the psychological state,emotional expression,friendship behavior and attitude towards boarding life of the case owners have been significantly improved,which proves that it is effective to use case work method to intervene in the psychological adjustment of rural boarding students.
