The Agenda Settings Of Sina Weibo Official Accounts Of Chinese And Foreign Tennis Matches

A series of professional tennis tournaments are held every year around the world.To attract the attention of fans,tournament organizers use the media in different countries to spread the tournament.For example,in China,the "Four Grand Slams",namely the Australian Open,French Open,Wimbledon and US Open,have registered and certified official Weibo on Sina Weibo for dissemination of information in order to expand their influence in China.Sina Weibo can be said to be the Chinese version of Twitter.It has a large number of users with strong interactivity.Users can anonymously express their views on events and players.It has also become the preferred media channel for institutions and enterprises.This research adopts agenda setting as a theoretical framework,uses content analysis to analyze the collected samples,and takes the coverage of China Open and French Open in 2018 from "China.com" and "French.com" official Weibo account for a comparative study.It analyzes the differences in their content structure and topics,audience feedbacks and the reasons behind it.This study finds that there was a significant difference between the "China Open" and"French Open" official Weibo in terms of agenda setting.The factors that affect the effect of Chinese and foreign tennis official micro-agenda setting mainly involve three aspects,namely the account holders,the star effect and the audience's needs.In order to improve the effect of the agenda setting of the official Weibo of Chinese tennis tournaments,This article proposes to reasonably formulate the issue structure form and release rhythm,focus on clarifying the content of the issue,and strengthen self-regulation and use of the star effect to pay attention to the needs of the audience to build a high-quality agenda.
