A Study On The Value Application Of Shanghai Red Cultural Resources In The Ideological And Political Education In Universities

Red cultural resources,the material and spiritual culture resources created by the people of the whole country under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in revolution,construction and reform period,including site memorials,pictures and manuscripts,revolution literature,the important revolutionary movements,the major historical events,meritorious deeds,revolutionary spirit,construction achievements,serve as high quality teaching resources for the ideological and political education.Shanghai is the birthplace of the Communist Party of China,the long-term location of the central committee since,and a pioneer of reform and open and innovative development.Relying on the local unique red cultural resources,colleges and universities in Shanghai carry out ideological and political education for students to make full use of its educational value,which helps students cultivate patriotism and the spirit of reform and innovation,enhance their cultural confidence and collectivism,and improve their ideals,sentiments and moral cultivation.Therefore,in this research,the category,connotation and formation process of Shanghai red culture resources was discussed through questionnaires and interviews to explore the usage of Shanghai red culture resources in Shanghai normal university,Shanghai Foreign Economic and Trade University,Shanghai Jiao Tong university,Shanghai International Studies University and Shanghai Institute of Visual Art in the ideological and political work.The necessity and the possibility of the integration of Shanghai red culture resources and ideological and political education was then explored.Finally,specific approaches for strengthening and improving the integration of Shanghai red culture resources and ideological and political education was discussed.In this study,we discussed the following three parts:The first part of this study interpreted the connotation characteristics,formation process and educational value of Shanghai red cultural resources.On the basis of clarifying the categories of Shanghai red cultural resources,this research made a clear definition of the connotation of Shanghai red cultural resources.Then,according to the unique historical status of Shanghai red cultural resources in the working class,Marxist propaganda and research,and the birth and development of the communist party of China,the research interpreted its significant characteristics,and the educational value of Shanghai red cultural resources comprehensively and specifically.The second part of this study explored the current practice of integrating the red cultural resources into the ideological and political education of Universities in Shanghai.Through interviews and questionnaires,this study fully explored the practical experiences of this integration,and the acceptance of students and its potentials,etc.Based on current practices in Universities and the level of students' acceptance,this study conducted a deep analysis on the ideological and political education achievements and the shortages in integrating Shanghai red culture resources and explored the factors.The third part of this study explained the application system of the value of red cultural resources of Shanghai in the ideological and political education in Universities.Firstly,Universities should strengthen the unified promotion with party committee,innovate in the red culture education in ideological and political courses,and expand the red culture education areas in daily ideological and political education.Secondly,government should play a leading role in promoting red culture,motivating social forces to enhance the cause of red culture,and carrying forward the advantages of red culture in family tradition in the cultivation of students' values.
