| Character Education has been a globally new trend of the moral education in the 21 st century.Meanwhile story approach in moral education is frequently used in children's Character Education.Therefore,theories concerning moral education and moral story method are applied in this thesis to explore moral education value of the Andersen's Fairy Tales in the21 st century.Finally it is concluded that the enduring appeal of Andersen's fairy tales lie in their improvement of the moral quality of children subtly,acting as a carrier of the Character Education with rich moral metaphors.The study is divided into five parts.The first part is an introduction.It takes the state policy of moral education and the current study on moral education of Andersen's fairy tales as a background,adopts the methods of literature,analytical induction and narrative inquiry,analyses the research situation of moral education of Andersen's fairy tales at home and abroad,finds that it lacks of the systematic research,especially the character education,and hence aims to dig into the value of the research.The second part is on the theoretical basis of the research.Based on the theory of character education and moral metaphor,this part exhibits the theoretical basis of this research.The third part focuses on how Andersen's fairy tales promote children's moral knowing.It mainly studies the moral metaphors contained in the texts from the perspective of the moral knowing,including moral awareness,knowing moral values,perspective-taking,moral reasoning,decision-making and self-knowledge,to discuss the values for promoting the children's moral knowing.The fourth part concentrates on how Andersen's fairy tales arouse children's moral feelings.It explores the moral metaphors contained in the text from the perspective of the moral feeling,including conscience,self-esteem,empathy,loving the good,self-control and humility to discuss the values for arousing the children's moral feeling.The fifth part focuses on how Andersen's fairy tales shape children's moral action.It analyses the moral metaphors contained in the text from the perspective of the moral action,including competence,will and habit to discuss the values for shaping the children's moral action.Finally,the paper makes a summary of the study on Andersen's fairy tales in Chinese children Character Education in the 21 st century and at the same time proposes its development prospects. |
