With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,China has established the important concept of developing the core literacy of Chinese students."Model Cognition" is the thinking core of the chemistry core literacy,so carrying out the teaching activity based on model cognitive literacy in chemistry education is an important part of realizing the core literacy of Chinese students through school curriculum teaching.As the guides,designers and implementers of the core literacy of chemistry,chemistry teachers'scientific modeling teaching ability has a direct impact on the results of the cultivation of chemistry core literacy of senior high school students.Chemistry teachers' scientific modeling teaching ability is actually the concrete embodiment of their Pedagogical Content Knowledge(PCK).Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to evaluate chemistry teachers' scientific modeling teaching ability and promote the development of chemistry teachers' scientific modeling teaching ability by Evaluation tool of Chemistry discipline Model Construction knowledge(PCKm).This study uses a variety of methods including literature research,questionnaire survey,classroom observation,and semi-structured interview.First,based on the systematic literature review,this study has preliminarily compiled a pre-service chemistry teacher meta-modeling knowledge assessment questionnaire from four dimensions:"model essence","model purpose","model utility",and "modeling essence".Then select the junior chemist students of two micro-classes in a certain teacher-training college in Wuhan as the target of the questionnaire survey.Through the analysis of survey data,the status of meta-modeling knowledge of the research object is obtained.Afterwards,I took the compulsory 2 "Elemental Periodic Law"(first class hour)as the research theme of the model construction classroom,mainly referring to the PCK Pentagon model and other authoritative modeling teaching documents.In the pre-service chemistry teacher's "Chemical Teaching Skills Training" course,a model construction class teaching level(PCKm)evaluation scale under the theme of "Elemental Periodic Law" was constructed.The scale was used to observe and evaluate the characteristics of the modeling teaching transformation of 6 teaching fragments in 1 class hour of the two pre-service chemistry teachers under the theme of "Elemental Periodic Law" in the"Chemistry Teaching Skills Training" course.Finally,supplemented by semi-structured interviews,to explore the model cognitive development changes and influencing factors of the pre-employment chemistry teacher PCK,and make appropriate suggestions based on the analysis of the results.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)The pre-service chemistry teachers in the two classes in the questionnaire survey are mostly at the "basic consent" level of 4 points,which belongs to the upper middle level.The performance level of the two research objects in the model essence and model purpose dimension is mostly at 4 points,and the level of model utility and modeling essence dimension is mostly at 3-4 points,and they have certain differences.(2)Through the guidance of the two research subjects,the two pre-service chemistry teachers' model cognition level gradually developed from the initial stage to the transition stage,and the level of development in terms of model presentation,model evaluation,and modeling process is insufficient,and there are differences between them.(3)Through continuous guidance,the model cognition level of the two research subjects gradually changed from low-level understanding to high-level understanding,but the development of PCKm level is uneven and the difference is large.(4)The main factors influencing the development of PCKm level of pre-service chemistry teachers include cognition of models and modeling,classroom teaching experience,teacher intervention,mastery of subject knowledge,understanding of courses and teaching materials.The innovation of this research has the following two points:1.Based on the systematic literature review,the pre-service chemistry teacher meta-modeling knowledge evaluation questionnaire was compiled from four dimensions:"model essence","model purpose","model utility",and "modeling essence";2.Based on the PCK's Pentagon model,combined with the model's cognition to refine the specific content of each dimension,a model to construct an evaluation scale for classroom teaching level under the theme of "Elemental Periodic Law" was constructed.
