| Since the implementation of "two-track system" in the Chinese men's basketball team,there have been gains and regrets.Chinese men's basketball team won the second championship in 2018 Jakarta Asian Games in eight years.However,the team lost the game in 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup and missed the qualification to go straight to Tokyo Olympic Games,which means mere chance to compete with the world's top teams in the next three years and extremely unfavorable growth condition of the team.Only by focusing on the present,finding out the gap and consolidating the foundation,can it be closer to the world top teams.RSR,GRA and video observation were adopted and the attack and defense indexes in 2016 Rio Summer Olympics,2017 FIBA Asian Cup and 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup were analyzed in this study.To be specific,the differences of offensive and defensive capability were analyzed horizontally not only between Chinese men's basketball team and the world's top teams but also between Chinese men's basketball team and its competitors;the offensive and defensive capability of Chinese men's basketball team was analyzed vertically;technical factors influencing the performance of Chinese men's basketball team in the last three world competitions were discussed and then tentative suggestions were put forward.This study showed:(1)The vertical analysis through the GRA method revealed that the most significant influencing factor of the Chinese men's basketball team's performance in the last three world competitions was the 2-point shooting rate.(2)RSR method manifested the ranking of each team in terms of their offensive and defensive capability,and the ranking results were significantly related to the ranking in the three competitions;the overall offensive and defensive capability of Chinese men's basketball team still had a certain edge in Asia but was in the intermediate or low level in the whole world.(3)In 2016 Rio Summer Olympics,there was a very significant difference(P < 0.01)between the Chinese men's basketball team and its opponents in scoring,losing points,offensive rebounds,assists and 3P% and there was a significant difference(P < 0.05)between the 3PM;2017 FIBA Asian Cup witnessed an remarkably significant difference(P < 0.01)between the Chinese men's basketball team and its opponents in offensive rebounds;at 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup,no significant difference(P > 0.05)was found between the Chinese men's basketball team and its opponents.(4)The ability of attack and defense in different positions of Chinese men's basketball team was unbalanced: the inner players showed particular strength,who won the most score;the forward and defenders needed to improve their ability to break through,the ability to project in the middle and long-distance and the ability to defend aggressively.(5)In the past three world competitions,the Chinese men's basketball team accelerated its attack and defense rhythm generally;2-point shots was stable;3PM increased and made more contribution to the game;FT% was stable;offensive rebounds and defensive rebounds showed a tendency to rise;the error control ability and the foul control ability were improved;the blocking ability was stable but mainly relied on internal players.Based on the attack and defense performance of Chinese men's basketball team in the past three events,it is suggested that the Chinese men's basketball team should practice with the aid of science and technology,strengthen their physical ability,tamp the basic skills,strengthen the intensity of warm-up competitions,focus on improving the peripheral projection ability and strengthen the training of athletic sports reserve talents. |
