The times are developing and society's requirements for personnel training are constantly changing.The purpose of education is no longer just to acquire knowledge,but more importantly to cultivate the mind.The new curriculum reform clearly raises the requirements for cultivating students' scientific thinking in the requirement for improving "biological core literacy".Scientific thinking is an important foundation for students to achieve personal development and meet social needs.Graphic teaching method is a method of organizing teaching with graphics.Biological graphics can concisely and vividly represent biological knowledge,which is in line with the characteristics of biology.Organizing biological diagrams rationally according to the characteristics of scientific thinking can achieve a reasonable organization of biological knowledge,guide students to find connections between diagrams,and establish knowledge connections through diagrammatic connections,which is conducive to training students' scientific thinking.Domestic research on graphic teaching method and scientific thinking started relatively late.In high school biology teaching,the research of applying graphic teaching method to scientific thinking training is rare.This paper is devoted to exploring the teaching strategies and instructional design of graphic teaching method applied to cultivate high school students' scientific thinking.First,by reading a large amount of literature on graphic teaching methods and scientific thinking cultivation,analyze related research at home and abroad;second,through questionnaires survey,to understand the current situation of graphic teaching methods applied by high school biology teachers,mainly from the aspects of understanding,usage and existing difficulties of the graphic teaching method;finally,conduct in-depth research on the compulsory teaching materials for senior high school biology in the human education version,comb the knowledge points suitable for the use of graphic teaching methods to cultivate scientific thinking,and conduct teaching cases designed to draw the following findings.(1)The current status of the application of graphic teaching method in high school biology teaching is good.Teachers are familiar with graphic teaching method.They agree with the help of graphic teaching to students' learning,and have a high degree of recognition of the teaching function of biological graphic teaching.Teachers have the consciousness of using graphic teaching methods to cultivate students' scientific thinking,but they lack teaching strategies for reference.(2)Sort out 56 knowledge points suitable for the use of graphic teaching methods to cultivate scientific thinking.According to the types of scientific thinking,they are divided into four categories: inductive generalization,deductive reasoning,model modeling,and critical thinking.Inductive generalization includes the distinction between similar concepts and knowledge points;deductive reasoning is related to the study of experimental inquiry,important theoretical discovery,and genetic method inference;model modeling involves knowledge of micro-structure,abstract concepts;the critical thinking class is mainly the learning of important theoretical discovery process.(3)Aiming at the characteristics of the four types of scientific thinking training knowledge,combined with biological diagrams,and analyzing the correlation between the two,finally proposed four teaching strategies related to the application of the diagram teaching method to cultivate scientific thinking,including multiple illustrations contrast comparison,and training of generalized thinking;relevance,training deductive reasoning thinking;construction of graph group,development of model modeling thinking;analysis of questioning,promotion of critical thinking.(4)Four teaching cases were designed: "Comparison of Neural Regulation and Humoral Regulation","Relationship between Genes and Chromosomes","Energy Flow of Ecosystem","Relationship between Gene Expression and Traits",corresponding to the four aspects of scientific thinking,Explain in detail the application of the four teaching strategies to provide reference for front-line teachers.Based on related theories,this article sorted out the knowledge points suitable for graphic teaching method to cultivate scientific thinking,and further summarized relevant teaching strategies,completed teaching case design,provided new ideas for teachers to cultivate students' scientific thinking.At the same time,it also enhances the students' understanding of the graphic functions and the interest of students in studying biology.
