Baskets One of the teaching contents of physical education courses in Chinese schools,students taking part in basketball can cultivate their will quality,enhance their physical and mental health,master the basic knowledge and skills of basketball,enrich the contents of school sports,and cultivate their consciousness of lifelong sports.Because of the fun of basketball,the small requirements to the site,easy to develop characteristics,are deeply loved by Chinese students.There are many kinds of teaching methods,such as traditional teaching method,demonstration teaching method,video teaching method,game teaching method and so on,no matter which teaching method,it is necessary to cultivate the students 'sports interest and habits,so that students can participate in the study of sports in a happy environment.With the development of society and dramatization,there are more and more ways for students to learn knowledge and skills.The traditional teaching method cannot meet the needs of students.This paper studies and analyzes the application of basketball games in junior middle school through the methods of literature,questionnaire,experiment,mathematical statistics and logic analysis.Through the study and comparison of traditional teaching method and game teaching method in junior high school basketball students like the degree of the difference in the degree of basketball,as well as the teaching method of basketball game and traditional teaching method to the degree of mastering the students basketball skills.(1)Before the experiment,the junior middle school students like basketball sports about the same degree,after a period of basketball teaching,the experimental group using basketball game teaching method to the basketball sports like the degree of better than the traditional teaching method of the control group.It shows that using the game teaching method has a positive influence on the students 'liking for basketball,which makes students like basketball more.(2)Before the experiment,the degree of acceptance of basketball skills varied little,and the level of achievement in basic basketball skills such as dribbling,passing,layup and shooting was not.After learning basketball skills,the results of both groups improved significantly.The experimental group with basketball game teaching method was better than the control group with traditional teaching method.(3)At different stages of the preparation,basic and end of basketball teaching,the purpose and mode of teaching are different,and the teachers of physical education need to choose different basketball games according to the different stages of basketball teaching,so as to achieve the best application of basketball games in basketball teaching.(4)In the selection and design of basketball game and basketball teaching content should be combined with the students 'healthy development,pay attention to the individual differences between different students,arrange suitable load and content of basketball game,at the same time in the basketball game process to pay attention to safety,advance prevention and preparation,teachers play a good referee role,timely evaluation and summary.
