Under the background of global value chain, the increasing mobility of production factors makes enterprises gradually become a link of global production chain.By participating in the division of labor of different links, enterprises can improve their production efficiency and share the benefits of participating in global value chain.Global value chain connects global enterprises into a unified chain.Division of labor and cooperation led by global value chain gradually replaces the traditional international division of labor. With the continuous extension and deepening of the global value chain, the study of trade in intermediates has become a research topic that cannot be ignored.Based on Chinese industrial enterprise data, customs data and WIOD data, this paper uses propensity score matching method and double difference method to study the impact of intermediate imports on labor market. This paper mainly includes the following five parts: the first chapter introduces the research background and significance, research content and methods, innovation and shortcomings; The second chapter is a literature review, which summarizes scholars' studies on the impact of intermediate imports on labor market; The third chapter is the theoretical analysis, through the classical trade theory and the production profit function of enterprises to analyze the impact of intermediate imports on the labor market mechanism; The fourth chapter is an empirical analysis, which uses propensity score matching method, double difference method and panel regression analysis method to analyze the impact of intermediate imports on the labor market, and makes a comparative analysis of different types of enterprises; The fifth chapter is the conclusion and policy recommendations, which summarizes the research conclusions and provides relevant feasible suggestions on this basis. The conclusions are as follows: first, the import of intermediate goods has a positive effect on employment, which increases year by year as time goes by.The improvement effect of capital-intensive and technology-intensive enterprises is better than that of labor-intensive enterprises.Second, the impact of intermediate goods' import on wage has differentiation in different time years, before 2008,this effect is positive, namely intermediates imports increased the wages of the enterprise, but from 2008 to 2010 the effect to negative, negative influence has expanded the trend, the trend is more obvious in capital-intensive and technology-intensive enterprises.Third, the import of intermediate goods has a significant positive impact on the overall labor demand elasticity of enterprises. In eastern and central regions, the import of intermediate goods will increase the labor demand and labor demand elasticity of enterprises, while in western regions, the import of intermediate goods will reduce labor demand elasticity. The import of intermediate products from state-owned enterprises and collective enterprises has no significant impact on the labor force demand elasticity of enterprises, while the import of intermediate products from private enterprises and other domestic enterprises will reduce the labor force demand elasticity of enterprises, while the import of intermediate products from Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan and foreign enterprises will increase the labor force demand elasticity.
