It has been more than 40 years since the reform and opening up.During this period,China has become the most important source of power for world economic growth and has made important contributions to the world economy. The income level of our people is rising rapidly, and China has become the second-ranked economy in the world. However, during this development period, the gap between the rich and the poor in society has been widening. The continuous decline of social mobility will become a great constraint on China's economic growth. Therefore, how to improve social mobility and how to reduce the income distribution gap at all levels has become the focus of extensive discussions in the society.Among them, intergenerational income mobility reflects the phenomenon of uneven income distribution among different generations of residents.Improving intergenerational income mobility can increase social mobility and effectively reduce the gap between the rich and the poor in society.Education can promote the upward mobility of classes, which in turn affects the relationship between income generations.Based on this, from the perspective of education, this paper mainly focuses on the core concept of intergenerational income mobility.Based on the analysis and analysis of the research results of intergenerational income mobility at home and abroad,it uses publicly available CFPS data and comprehensively uses it.Conditional intergenerational income elasticity method,OLS,and quantile regression analysis methods apply statistical analysis on China's intergenerational income elasticity, intergenerational income mobility trends, the impact of education on intergenerational income mobility, group differences, and quantile change.Multidisciplinary comprehensive empirical analysis such as science, econometrics, etc.,based on this, put forward effective suggestions for improving the intergenerational income mobility in China. The framework of this article: First, the basic concepts and functions of intergenerational income elasticity and intergenerational income mobility are explained, and the Solon model, double logarithmic income model and intergenerational income mobility mechanism from the perspective of education are analyzed.Theory;secondly, the current situation of intergenerational income mobility in China is studied, and the empirical analysis of intergenerational income mobility in China is conducted from the perspective of education;the conditional intergenerational income elasticity method is used to analyze education and some other factors on intergenerational income. The impact of elasticity, and the influence of education in urban and rural samples is studied. The explanatory power of education in the intergenerational income elasticity is measured by the intermediate variable method. Finally, quantile regression is used to study the educational impact of different offspring income quintiles. The impact of intergenerational income elasticity.
