A Study On The E-book Lending Sales

The continuous development of computer technology and the mobile terminal display technology gave birth to the E-book Industry.The popularity of the Internet and the mobile Internet sends e-book,an emerging reading way,into people's daily life.Paper books give an immersive reading experience,while the e-books give people a fragmented reading experience.During traditional paper book reading period,libraries and bookstores have brought convenient reading and lending services to people,which has promoted the popularization of universal reading.With the e-book boom,people's increasing demand for e-books brings e-books services into ordinary people's lives.Unlike paper books lending,e-book lending service has unique characteristics in the lending platform,lending methods,lending processes and reading carrier.E-book lending gradually wins the majority of readers through its diversified lending platform,one-step-way borrowing,convenient borrowing process and multi terminal reading carrier.Therefore,people's increasing interest in e-book reading gives the birth of e-book lending services.Paper book lending service has library and bookstore borrowing platforms,while e-book lending service is different.It has library,e-book business,and third party websites platforms.With the continuous optimization of e-book lending services,The number of users is also increasing.Publishers and book dealers found e-books lending is a the great driving force for e-book sales,and e-book lending has become one of the sales methods.The author called it "e-book lending sales" in this paper.But in reality,Due to the proliferation of pirated books,insufficient legal support,restrictions on the level of digital technology,as well as blurred profit model,e-book lending services are faced with the development problems,and the development of loan sales has also been affected.This paper focuses on how to promote the e-book sales through improvement of e-book service,and promote the development of e-book lending sales.This paper makes full use of the methods of literature research,cross study,comparative analysis and other research methods.It studies the e-book lending services as an e-book sales approach.Firstly,basing on the different e-book lending services platform,the author summarized three e-book borrowing sales modes:Business to Library to Reader(hereinafter referred to as the BLR model),Reader to Website to Reader(hereinafter referred as the RWR mode),Reader to Website to Reader(hereinafter referred to as the BBR mode).Then,the author summed up the common problems of the three modes from the three modes of development status,and described it from the aspects of social piracy,copyright legal environment and economic profit model.Lastly,the author put forward suggestions for future development,and creatively constructed BBR model as a business model.It also can promote the development of e-book by digital technology.The thesis may gives some advice on the development of e-book lending sales,and Promots the development of e-book industry.
