In modern society,the dependence and demand of communication are increasingly high,so designing and developing higher spectrum efficient communication system is becoming the purpose of all communication engineers.A variety of communication technologies with high spectral efficiency have been developed.OFDM is one of the highest known spectrum efficient communication system,and it is a combination of digital modulation,digital signal processing and multicarrier transmission.Hence,OFDM which has high spectrum utilization and power utilization stays competitive.At present,technology of OFDM which has been used in the 4G LTE is one of the three key technologies of LTE.OFDM is expected to remain as the key modulation in 5G.Software Defined Radio,which uses method of software loading to implement various radio communication systems through a general hardware platform with standardized and modular hardware function unit,is a new technology with open architecture.The core idea of Software Defined Radio is to make broadband A/D and D/A converter close to antenna,and to use software to define wireless radio and implement signal processing.Various functions and signal processing are implemented in software as much as possible too.The SDR provides maximum flexibility and the easiest development method,so it is more suitable for research and development in laboratory environment.OFDM is one of the cores of the current 4G technology.And there is still much research space in the future 5G technologies.This thesis constitutes wireless communication experiment platform which is based on a FPGA development board,and implements OFDM communications system functions in the form of SDR.This thesis majors in the implementation of OFDM communication system which is based on wireless communication experiment platform.Main contents include two parts:the first is the overall scheme design of OFDM system,the second is the implementation of OFDM communication system and performance verification of OFDM communication system.The scheme design includes the structure design of sending OFDM signal,synchronization problem and channel estimation at receiving node.Where the difficulty of this thesis is the problem of synchronization and channel estimation,Compared to the theoretical research,this thesis is based on the actual platform and the actual scene.The implementation of OFDM system mainly consists of using MATLAB program to control transmitting and receiving nodes which are composed of FPGA board.Performance test of system is primarily to test the performance of OFDM modulation in different states and different scenarios.
