Design And Implementation Of Android-Based Aged Care System

With the improvement of people's living standards and extension of average human life in recent years,there is a growing number of the elderly especially empty nester and solitary,and their safety issue attracts more and more attentions.The rapid development of Internet and the importance of smart phone speed the trend that adult who are working outside and not able to take on their concern and love to parents in time care for their parents at anytime and anywhere by using electronic products.To this end,this paper designs and realize Android client application software for aged care system.This paper mainly studies the SIP protocol of the communication between Android client and server,and the streaming media protocol used to forward the audio and video data.Recording audio with AudioRecord,through the realization of PreviewCallback interface call Camera to capture video screen,video codec through H.264,audio codec through G.711.Obtain the elderly GPS location through the connection of server and the aged care terminal equipment,and display the current location in Android phone terminal by using Auto Navi Map development technology.In addition,the Android phone and server are established socket long connection,once the elderly fall down and is detected by the aged care terminal,it would send alarm to server and Android client call Vibrator to make mobile phone vibrate to remind the elderly family after receiving the alarm information.In conclusion,it shows that the desired goals are achieved after testing the functional modules of the software.Get the current location of the elderly remotely,review the home camera video at anytime,and also have a voice or video chat with the elderly by using the Android mobile phone client,moreover,receiving the alarm when the elderly falls down.This Android client for aged care system provides a great convenience to adults and their parents.
