With the development of fiber optic communication technology,the ultra-long span optical transmission system is widely used in special communication networks,such as power networks.The optical amplifier configuration greatly determines the error-free extreme transmission distance of the system.As the requirements for actual engineering applications,we explore the optimum configuration of all kinds of amplifier technology so that can discovery the intrinsic relationship among forward and backward Raman amplifiers,erbium-doped fiber amplifiers(EDFA)and remote pump amplifier(ROPA),realizing the ultra-long span optical transmission systems and improving the system performance.Firstly,the thesis introduces the requirements and technological advances of ultra-long span optical transmission systems,and gives the main research content.Then,the long span optical transmission equation considering the Raman scattering effect was established based on the transient and delayed responses to the three-order nonlinear effect in the optical fiber.The performance and characteristics of EDFA,ROPA and Raman amplifier are analyzed,and the correctness of the simulation software is experimentally verified.Then the ultra-long span transmission Raman amplifier pump configuration and its impacts on the performance of the transmission system are analyzed,including the optimal configuration of Raman amplifier,the error free transmission distance and the transmission performance of the system.Then,the optimized configurations of ROPAs are given,with which the error free transmission distance and the transmission performance of the system are analyzed.Finally the error free transmission distance of the mixing amplifier transmission system is analyzed,a novel multi-stage remote pump mixed with third order Raman amplifier with the pump power enhanced by Raman effective is proposed,based on which the hybrid amplifier transmission system is demonstrated.The new multi-stage remote pump mixing amplifier greatly improves the performance of transmission system.
