With the improvement of people's living quality,we pay more attention to the personal security, especially for the requirements of border intrusion detection around the important areas. There are many disadvantages in traditional intrusion detection methods.Millimeter-Wave radar is a kind of high range resolution radar with advantages such as light weight, small volume,all-weather operation ability and strong anti-jamming capability and can be widely applied in the field of border intrusion detection. The border intrusion detection based on the signal processing for Millimeter-Wave radar is investigated in this dissertation. And the main objectives of our research work can be summarized as follows:(1)On the basis of system structure for Millimeter-Wave radar, the pulse radar signal model and continuous wave signal model are analyzed, and the ambiguity function of pulse and continuous wave signal are deduced. The theory of multi-targets distinction and motion parameters estimation based on existing several waveforms are analyzed, and simulations are deployed.(2)For the drawbacks of waveform using two triangle linear frequency modulated waveform which causes high calculation pressure and ghost targets, the method of 2D-FFT based on short period linear frequency modulated waveform is analyzed to solve slow moving multi-targets distinction problem.Algorithm performance is analyzed, and simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.(3)For the irregular perimeter scene,a simple and accurate method is proposed for determining the perimeter line.A criterion is proposed for determining whether intrusion is occurring, and the direction of intrusion target can be predicted based on the target's current position.(4)The proposed algorithm was implemented based on a Millimeter-Wave radar hardware platform, and its effectiveness is validated in the real scenes.
