With the explosive growth of new devices such as mobile phones,AR and VR,Mark Weiser' s ubiquitous computing is getting closer to reality.Human-computer interaction will no longer be limited to a fixed single user interface, and interactive task will need to be done by multiple devices together, which that carries out across devices is of great value and will surely be productive. However, the current application development framework does not provide support for cross-device development. When developers use existing frameworks to build cross-device interaction applications,it takes a lot of time to deal with issues such as inter-device communication and distributed user interfaces.Due to the enhancement of the hardware capability of modern equipment, there have been many researches on cross-device interaction over the years. But most studies are based on additional hardware to enhance device or need to complex configuration which are expensive and cumbersome for user and mostly for indoor use only.In this dissertation,we proposes Cross-Touch,that is a prototype framework for cross-device Web application development.By using framework, developers can build a universal cross-device application in view of the general consumer easily without paying attention to the underlying protocols and transports details,so as to reduce the cross-device application development cycles. This article describes the overview of Cross-Touch's design and architecture.Cross-touch is feasible and efficient in the development of cross-device interactive applications by explaining from our research of developers.
