An Framing Analysis Of Reports Of "Violence Against Doctors" In Early Stage（Year 2000-Year 2001）

Violence against doctors has always been a hot social issue.Almost every year there are lots of cases of violence against doctors which cause public discussion.However,in both media discourse and social discourse,behaviors of violence against doctors are always associated with the relationship between doctors and patients.The relationship between behaviors of violence against doctors and matters of doctor-patient relationship constructs the public's understanding for behaviors of violence against doctors.Considering the behaviors of violence against doctors from the perspective of doctor-patient relationship,it is easy for the public to ignore the legal consequences of the behaviors of violence against doctors,then turn to discuss doctor-patient dispute and doctor-patient contradiction.In a survey in 2012,only 51.2% of the surveyed patients considered malignant cases of violence against doctors as a criminal offence.From this point of view,this paper studies how the relationship between doctors and patients is related to the behavior of violence against doctors.Is it linked to the doctorpatient relationship from the beginning? In this paper,the term "violence against doctors" is used to refer to the original state of the behaviors of violence against doctors,and violence against doctors refers to the behaviors of violence against doctors after redefinition by the media.Based on cross-statistics,this paper draws a conclusion that the current report of "violence against doctors" began around Year 2000.Therefore,the paper chooses the period from Year 2000 to Year 2001 as the research period to analyze the construction of the behavior of "violence against doctors" by the media in this stage.The research shows that the behaviors of "violence against doctors" are transformed into news events after being reported by the media,and gradually develop into a news topic.In this process,first,the media adds moral common sense to the behaviors of "violence against doctors"--violence is improper;second,the media has added legal common sense to the behaviors of "violence against doctors"--violent behaviors with certain consequences are suspected of violating the law,and those with serious consequences will be punished;third,the media defines the subject scope of the behaviors of "violence against doctors"--the doctor-patient group;finally,the media adds the understanding scope for the behaviors of "violence against doctors" —the doctor-patient relationship.Thus,with negative,illegal,doctor-patient behaviors and doctor-patient relationship and so on concepts and problems,the media organizes the behaviors of "violence against doctors" scattered in a corner of daily life,provides a basic behavioral cognitive framework of "violence against doctors" for the public--violence against doctors framework.The behaviors of "violence against doctors" have developed from the normal violent communication activity in the original state to the special violent communication activity in the special context,which highlights the roles of doctor-patient and the tense relationship between the roles of the doctors and patients.That is to say,the behaviors of "violence against doctors" are transferred to the behavior of violence against doctors.This paper believe that,the behaviors of violence against doctors are based on the definition by the media,and in the process of constructing the behaviors of violence against doctors,the media has made the following mistakes: first,in the reports of violence against doctors referred to doctorpatient disputes which are defined by the media,the essence of the disputes is blurred to make the doctor-patient disputes develop to Rashomon of doctorpatient discourse;at the same time,on the premise of claiming that the actual aggrieved party is wrong,the media discusses the group fault of the aggrieved party,and avoids the problem to shift the focus of the problem in essence,so as to make the doctor-patient disputes develop into the doctorpatient discourse.Second,the media rationalizes violent behaviors at the emotional and discourse levels.
