| With the development of advanced information systems in modern cockpit and ship,an increasing number of information search and human-computer interaction tasks need to be carried out in varied vibration environments.This is especially the case in aircraft,spacecraft,automobiles,trains and ships.While studies on information search in static environment have been well documented,there is a lack of such studies in vibration environment.The aim of this paper is to study the effects of vibration and information presentation in interface design on visual search performance and users' perceptions in information search tasks.The data analysis(N = 54)of 24 kinds of interface color schemes under three different shaking states shows that the shaking state has no effect on visual search performance,user perceived fatigue and discomfort,and that various color schemes can maintain similar performance under different shaking states.The color scheme has a significant effect on visual search efficiency.Black series especially black background and yellow target has a better search efficiency.Users prefer a color scheme that produces better performance.The results of experimental data(N = 54)showing the size and density of various information objects in three different shaking states show that the shaking state has no effect on the performance of visual search and the subjective perceptual indexes such as user perceived fatigue and discomfort.The display size and density of the information show significant effects on the visual search efficiency.Medium-low density and medium-large size target design can produce better search performance.This design is also a preferred scheme for users.In general,the shaking State has no effect on task search performance and subjective perception(visual fatigue and discomfort),and shaking does not seem to affect the efficiency and effectiveness of human visual information processing.This finding shows that the interface design of background and target color matching in stationary state can still be applied cautiously to shaking conditions.The color scheme has a significant effect on the task search time of single and double target,and has a significant effect on the accuracy of task search.A shorter search color scheme is a pair of color groups with very obvious contrasts.Strong contrast color can greatly improve the efficiency of visual search.Medium and low density information material design(such as 18 or so information objects,that is,medium and low density intermediate value)is a more suitable solution.The experimental results have important reference significance for the design of the information search interface and the engineering application under shaking condition. |
