Study On Virtual Machine Snapshot Storage And Backup Technology Based On Cloud Platform

With the rapid development of modern information technology and the advent of the era of big data,the amount of data in the information world is exploding,and users are increasingly demanding data storage.Cloud computing is a brand new type of information technology resource supply model resulting from the integration of distributed computing,network storage,virtualization,and load balancing technologies.This resource provision model can effectively solve the problem of a large increase in user demand.Nowadays,a variety of cloud computing platforms are also increasingly used.However,with the continuous expansion of the cloud platform,how to protect the integrity,reliability,and consistency of data has become a challenge for data storage and backup on the cloud platform.Virtualization technology is the supporting technology of cloud computing.Virtual machine snapshot technology is increasingly used in data backup and recovery of various systems.The application of virtual machine snapshot technology can not only achieve online data backup,but also can restore system data to a certain point in time in case of a system failure.In response to the challenge of data storage backup on cloud platforms,this paper presents an improved mechanism for snapshot storage backup of virtual machine based on open source cloud platform.The work of this paper mainly includes the following points:(1)Demand analysis was conducted on the actual project of “Innovation,Entrepreneurship,and Comprehensive Service Information Platform of Industry,University,and Research Institute of Chongqing”.According to the project requirements,and then by analyzing the relevant functions of the cloud platform,the snapshot storage backup technology on the cloud platform was faced with Challenge(2)For the challenge of snapshot storage backup on cloud platform,a data storage backup mechanism based on open source cloud platform and virtual machine snapshot technology is proposed.This mechanism uses the principle of copying snapshot technology before writing and adds snapshot mirroring.The concept of the file cache space aims to shorten the downtime of virtual machines during snapshot operations and reduce the occupation of network resources due to repeated download of snapshot image files,and accelerates the snapshot recovery process of virtual machines.(3)Experiments and analysis were carried out on the proposed improvement mechanism.The experimental results show that the proposed mechanism for improving the snapshot backup of virtual machines in this paper can better meet the challenges faced by data storage backup on cloud platforms and can be applied to Chongqing."Industry-University-Industry Cooperation,Innovation,and Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Service Information Platform."...
