SSD based on the PCIe bus are the future trends of the storage industry.Due to their advantage of large capacity,small size,and speed,SSD quickly occupy the server and advanced PC field.However,because of the particularity of the structure,unexpected accidents such as abnormal power failure and blue screen crash inevitably occur in practical applications,and resulting in the data written is lost or incomplete.The traditional detection method uses the PC power-cut mode,although the approach is also essential in the SSD reliability test,but the cost is too high.The Random Hyperstability Detection System(RHDS)for SSD can accurately detect the data consistency and incompleteness caused by the SSD writing in the sector in the abnormal power-cut situation.RHDS,which can test multiple Slavers at the same time,is mainly composed of two sub-systems: Master and Slaver.Master running on the PC is operated by user.User can watch the test results,while the Slaver running on the development board.In addition,the power-down mode is controlled by a power-cut board composed of multiple relays.The master generates and sends a large number of writing commands to slaver at a time.The slaver writes to the SSD at full load according to the instructions.During the period,the master will randomly power cut the boards,and the data inconsistency and other issues will be detected after powering on,so as to determine the stability of SSD in the abnormal power-cut environment.As the result of the abnormal power-cut happened during the whole detection,it is also easy to cause the stability problem of NAND Flash on the slaver.Therefore,data logging and file recording in the detection process all need to be transmitted to the master through the network,thus ensuring the accuracy of the data in the testing process and the reliability of the test results.Through the system function design and overall testing,it is proved that RHDS is an effective solution to detect the data inconsistency problem of SSD in abnormal power-cut environment.
