| In the field of brain science,it is possible to utilize artificial synapses to simulate the characteristics of biological synapses.As one of the forefront and hot technologies in the world,more and more manpower and material resources,time was,more and more experts and scholars devoted to this area and have acquired lots of experimental results.This will help lay the foundation for the development of neural network and artificial intelligence.Inspired by the existing artificial synapses that using ions,protons or electrons to transmit nerve stimulation,such as transistors and memristors,this thesis firstly proposes and fabricated light induced synaptic transistor using photon to transmit nerve stimulation.And the characteristics of the light induced synaptic transistor are studied,the experiment shows that the synaptic transistor can simulate paired-pulse facilitation(PPF),one-dimensional and multi-dimensional memory effect and saturation behavior of the biological synaptic.The main work includes:After contrast and analysis,material of substrate and buffer layer is selected.Next,AutoCAD software is used to design the structure of the device.Subsequently,the main fabrication process includes UV photolithography,etching technology and electron beam evaporation technology is conducted to obtain the light induced synaptic transistor.Finally,the structure and surface roughness of the device are characterized by optical microscope and atomic force microscope(AFM).The setup is built to mimic memory effect and saturation behavior of the device.One emitter and one collector is used to mimic point-to-point neuron synapse.The test plan is mainly divided into three parts: single-pulse delay test;double-pulse superposition test;continuous-pulse saturation test.The result experimentally demonstrated to mimic the one-dimensional memory effect and saturation behavior of the synapse.When many emitters correspond to one collector,simple neuron network is mimicked.Redesign and fabricate a dual-emitter light induced synapse transistor,then characterization of physical structure,simulation test and the result analysis are carried out.Test solution composes of two parts: the identification and superposition effect under multidimensional single stimulus;identification and saturation behavior under multidimensional continuous stimuli.The device can realize multidimensional recognition and saturation effect. |
