Study On Color Management Mechanism Based On Color Appearance Models And Output Module Plug-in

With the development of Internet,different environments have great influence on cross media reproduction.The mechanism of ICC color management can not meet the requirements of cross media reproduction.WCS color management uses CIECAM02 color appearance model as profile connection space,which provides a new direction for color management.This paper focuses on the color management mechanism of WCS and makes an in-depth study of color appearance model and color management based on color appearance model.The research contents of this paper mainly include:(1)Evaluate the visual uniformity of CIECAM02-UCS and CAM16-UCS color appearance.The uniformity of the two space is analyzed based on the standard deviation of size,the standard deviation of the flat rate and the average flattening index.The results show that the uniformity of CAM16-UCS color space is better than that of CAM02-UCS.(2)Program color appearance profile processor CAM-Conversion to generate and parse color appearance profile by VS2015 based on XML file parser Tiny XML.(3)Develop a color management output module plug-in program using color appearance model as profile connection space based on WCS color management mechanism.(4)Use CAM-CMS to perform color management with CIECAM02-UCS and CAM16-UCS as profile connection space and carry out subjective evaluation and objective evaluation of the images obtained by two kinds of color management.The results show that CAM16-UCS method is slightly better than CAM02-UCS method and CAM16-UCS method performs better in dark blue color area than CAM02-UCS method.The color management output module plug-in of this project provides an extended interface for color appearance space.Compared with WCS color management,this program has a better extensibility.The plug-in can be applied to softwares of processing image and video and also provides a platform for testing color space and color gamut mapping algorithm.
