With the rapid development of network technology,the way people access to information is no longer from a simple text,images,audio.Video already become an indispensable part of our life.And the application of streaming media technology enables us to obtain audio and video files more conveniently.The streaming media is a new technology for multimedia transmission and processing,using streaming real-time transmission in the network media formats,can download and play video at the same time,greatly saved the user waiting time.One of the key technologies of streaming media is video compression coding,if the original video file is directly placed on the server side,the system resource will be very much consumed,it is necessary to compress the original video file through the appropriate algorithm.The codec standards in video stream transmission are mainly the h.26 x series of the International Telecommunication Union,the MPEG series standard of the International Standardization Organization movement Motion Picture Expert Group,and latest video coding standard h.265/HEVC.The research emphasis of this paper is the newest video coding standard h.265 / HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding).HEVC which was developed by JCT-VC organization,compared to the previous generation Video Coding standard ascending in the coding efficiency than doubled.However,the important performance is realized by increasing the computational complexity of the encoder.Motion Estimation is the key technology of HEVC,and it is also one of the most critical and time-consuming tasks in video coding.Therefore,in order to solve the high complexity of HEVC,we must start with the motion estimation.In this paper,several classical motion estimation algorithms are compared and analyzed,and then the latest and better Search algorithm is introduced,and the Search process of this algorithm is introduced.Although TZSearch maintains a reasonable tradeoff between algorithm complexity and coding efficiency,it still maintains a similar RD performance.TZSearch,however,is still very high computational complexity,a search algorithm based on rotation pentagon search is proposed in order to reduce the motion estimation time in HEVC.Through in-depth study and analysis of TZSearch algorithm,improved and optimized the initial search points,search points,search scopes,search methods and search templates.New algorithms reduce unnecessary search points,search space,reduce coding time,improve coding efficiency,and ensure the accuracy of search.The optimized algorithm in VS2010 development platform,HEVC official simulation experiment on the reference software HM,through the analysis of the experimental data available,compared with the original algorithm and global search algorithm,RPS algorithm under the premise of guarantee the quality of video,greatly shortens the time of motion estimation and reduces the coding complexity,improve the encoding speed.
