Research On Two-tier Network Synchronization Method Of Storage Area Network Device Data

At present,in order to provide low latency,high throughput and the network environment of MAC layer direct exchanging,the iSCSI SAN data centers of some enterprises need to work in the two-tier network,but the traditional iSCSI SAN management system can only work in the three-tier network.So there must be a new iSCSI SAN management system which can work in the two-tier network for managing the iSCSI SAN well.This paper presents a distributed automation management system of iSCSI SAN,and all the switches in this management system should storage all the data of all the equipment.Therefore,the key problem about the management system is how to synchronize the data of switches among the storage area network in the two-tier network.After analyzing the characteristics of the data in the storage area network(such as the registration information of the servers and the storage devices,the node diagnostic information,the switch information and the zone configuration information),this paper study the key problem of the iSCSI SAN distributed automation management system in the two-tier network emphatically——the data synchronization method 5of storage area network in the two-tier network.Based on this synchronization method,the data resources stored on any switch can be automatically spread to the whole network,which can ensure the consistency and integrity of the data in any switch of the whole network during a period of time,so as to achieve that all the switches can manage the whole network equipment and query the information of any equipment in the whole network.Aiming at the problem of data packet loss,this paper proposes a method to periodically spread data to ensure the integrity of data synchronization.In order to reduce the bandwidth consumption caused by the data synchronization process,this paper designs a method which specifies a switch to send the complete database digest periodically,this method reduces the number of packets in the synchronization process effectively and reduces the bandwidth consumption greatly.According to the data synchronization method of the storage area network in the two-layer network,a distributed database is established in each switch of the whole network.This method is verified in a company's comware platform switches by programming.The test results showed that the synchronization method proposed is stable and reliable,and this method can be used as the basis of the distributed automation management system of the storage area network in the two-tier network.
