| IFPUG Function Point Analysis is the world's most widely used measure method,and also the recommendation standard of military software metrics with reason of the early development and mature technology.However,there exists the problem of low efficiency,low accuracy in the measurement process and other issues as it needs manual records and calculations.The study found that manual record time approximately occupies 25%-30% of the measurement process,and about 10%-30% measurement results difference is from different measures.For manual measurement problems in practice,this article analysis the common mistakes in measurement process,proposes a method of measurement process quality control with IFPUG method,and implements the measurement assist tool with the proposed method.The experiments shows that the result has 99% accuracy rate and time savings of nearly 54% with the measurement assist tool compared with manual measurement.This paper has done the following work:1.Made a research on domestic and foreign common measure assist tools.After research,we classified the 5 tools according to the FSM classification frame of Mendes,and proposed the measurement assist tool.2.Analysis of the common errors in measurement process,and proposed method to avoid these.After measurement practice,we found that procedures of boundary identification,data function identification and recognition transactional function have higher error rate.This paper focusing on the understanding of the rules,mapping the software needs to IFPUG concept to find the solutions through case analysis.The map relationship of IFPUG?COSMIC?Measured Software was proposed to overcome those problems in real time system measurement after referencing the COSMIC concept and rules.3.Designed and implemented IFPUG measurement supplementary tool.On the basis of the method of measurement process quality control,we designed the IMA1.0(IFPUG Measurement Assistant).With the function of rules tips and comparative cases,the tool can help measurers have a correct understanding and application of the rules,reduce the measurement error caused by subjective judgment.At the same time,the tool implements the independent judgment and calculation functions,which improves the efficiency of the measurement.The measure results from the tools has high analyzability as it has complete record.4.Verified the effectiveness of the tool.Two measure staff were employed to measure different 10 projects with manual method and the IMA1.0 respectively,which avoid the influence of positive feedback.The comparing results shows the measurement assist tool has the 99% accuracy rate and time savings of nearly 54%. |
