As an important carrier for transmitting information in daily life,images usually can carry more information than other forms of information transmission.However,images are inevitably affected by various types of distortions in the process of acquisition,processing,transmission,resulting in a decrease in image quality.Image quality assessment can quantitatively evaluate the quality of an image,and has a wide range of applications in image acquisition,compression,processing,and display system evaluation,control,design,optimization.According to whether the original image can be obtained,objective image quality assessment methods are usually divided into full reference,semi-reference,and no reference.This article mainly studies the method of full reference image quality assessment and its application.With the continuous deepening of people's research on image quality assessment,many algorithms proposed can achieve high accuracy,but the running time is usually long and it is difficult to achieve a balance of high efficiency and accuracy.Therefore,thesis proposes an image quality assessment algorithm based on gradient amplitude and chromaticity information that combines accuracy and efficiency,The method uses the relationship between the low-level features of the image and the image quality,and takes the gradient magnitude and chrominance information of the image as an evaluation factor for evaluating the image quality,and maximizes the reduction in similarity calculation,At the same time,in the collection of similarity maps,a highly efficient and accurate standard deviation method was used as a pooling strategy and adaptive improvements were made.The results of running on five image databases show that the proposed algorithm not only can accurately predict the quality of images,but also has low time complexity and is superior to many existing algorithms in accuracy and efficiency.Based on the proposed image quality assessment algorithm,thesis designs an efficient image quality assessment system and implements it based on the existing hardware platform.The system mainly includes image output module,acquisition module and image quality evaluation software.The output module mainly includes an image output card and an output software,wherein the hardware board is an image data source,and the output software can realize the image data output function through the operation board.The acquisition module includes an image acquisition card and acquisition software.It mainly performs the function of acquiring image data from a camera or an image output card.Among them,the output module and the acquisition module transmit data through a physical cable,and communication and data transmission between the upper software and the image board through the driver.Image quality assessment software and output modules,acquisition modules establish connections and transmit data through sockets.The software uses the image quality assessment algorithm mentioned in this article to evaluate,and can quickly test the function of image transmission modules and reflect the system in real time.Loss of image transmission performance and quality.
