With the popularization of computer technology and the expansion of the network user scale,the inherent defects of traditional networks are becoming more and more obvious.People need a new network system to improve the performance of traditional network,so that the information can be obtained more conveniently and quickly.In this case,"triple-network convergence" came into being.It integrates and transforms traditional telecommunication networks,broadcast networks,and the Internet.By using coaxial cables and existing fiber optic backbones to form new transmission networks,the "triple-network convergence" achieves the goal of sharing resources and opening up the interconnection.At present,the "triple-network convergence" has become an important solution to improve the current network status in China.This paper mainly launches research on the key modules of 10 G HIMAC coprocessor according to the project "10G High Performance Coaxial Cable Access Network(HINOC)MAC Coprocessor Design(HIMAC)",which is a cooperation project of the author's laboratory.Firstly,it analyzes the research background and development status of HINOC.Secondly,this paper introduces the whole structure of the 10 G HINOC network and the design requirements of 10 G HIMAC coprocessor.Combined with the current research progress,it introduces the overall design of the 10 G HIMAC coprocessor and describes the data processing flow.Thirdly,the paper focuses on modules in the 10 G HIMAC coprocessor like the 10 G MAC core module,the look-up table module,and the FPGA high-speed serial interface named "10G Ethernet interface" based on the RocketIO module.And complete the implementation of each module using the Verilog HDL programming language.Finally,the function of each module is simulated and verified by Modelsim software.What's more,it builds a test platform to verify the performance of each module designed and completes the board-level test.The test results show that the performance of each module meets the design requiremets.
