With the rapid development of the Internet, network traffic is growing rapidly.Only relying on physical layer technology advancement,it is difficult to provide bandwidth resources that match network traffic requirements under the condition of guaranteed cost.In addition, the traditional data network only supports a small number of service priorities, and it is difficult to provide customized bandwidth services according to service requirements. Therefore, how to efficiently utilize network bandwidth resources, flexibly schedule service traffic, and improve user experience have become research hotspots. This paper focuses on the problem of low bandwidth utilization and low throughput faced by the inter-DC WAN.Under the IP+OPTICAL network architecture, the service-aware bandwidth and traffic joint scheduling method is studied.Based on this, the network resource management and scheduling visualization system for the inter-DC WAN is built. And the management platform for the deadline service is also built. The main research and development work is as follows:(1)Research on a bandwidth and traffic joint scheduling approach for the inter-DC WANAiming at the problems of high bandwidth cost and low resource utilization of the inter-DC WAN,a time-window-based joint scheduling scheme for bandwidth and traffic is proposed. It can maximize network throughput and provides bandwidth and time guarantees for services between the inter-DC WAN by planning the future traffic demand in advance based on the time window, and jointing scheduling of the IP layer and the optical layer periodically according to the planning result, and reconfiguring the optical layer logical topology, and adopting the global traffic engineering method at the IP layer. For the deadline services between the inter-DC WAN and according to the Google G-scale network structure, the simulation results show that the scheme can increase the request acceptance rate by 36.6%and the network throughput by 1.22 times on average under the premise of ensuring the completion period of the services.(2)Network resource management and scheduling visualization system between data centersDesigning and implementing a time-window-based network resource management and scheduling visualization system for the inter-DC WAN.Graphical presentation of historical, current, and future planned network topologies, network resources, tunnels and service information of the inter-DC WAN.The system enables network administrators to accurately grasp historical and current service information and network resource allocation scheduling information,as well as bandwidth pre-planning information for future traffic, which is beneficial to performance evaluation, policy adjustment and troubleshooting;enabling users to clearly understand the bandwidth planning and service status for the service.(3)Management platform for the deadline service between the inter-DC WANBased on the IP+OPTICAL network convergence platform that uses ONOS architecture, the management platform for the deadline service between the inter-DC WAN is designed and developed. It mainly includes:designing and implementing a user-oriented network interface to express the user's bandwidth usage demand and to shield network technical details for the user.At the same time, the user demand is resolved and converted into the actual network configuration through the access control and the internal bandwidth and traffic joint scheduling method. And the actual network configuration is send to the virtual data plane. The platform can verify the feasibility and effectiveness for the method of joint scheduling of bandwidth and traffic in the platform environment under development.
