With the concepts of cloud network collaboration,fog computing,industrial Internet,Internet of Things and so on,the network scale and traffic will grow rapidly,and a large number of devices can be connected to the network anytime,anywhere.The size of broadband networks will also increase from more than 6 billion connections to more than 60 billion connections.Operator IP MAN aims to support broadband and video services,but also needs to evolve with the change of business needs and application upgrades.High bandwidth,low latency,multi-connection and cloud-based service are becoming the trend of development,which leads to the continuous expansion of coverage and the enhancement of bandwidth access capability of operators' IP MAN.At the same time,the transformation of future network service modes should also be considered.Software Definition Network(SDN)came into being.SDN is not only a technology,but also a concept and idea.Firstly,this paper introduces the origin of SDN,the development of SDN and the requirements of SDN evolution for three major domestic operators.Operators have issued a new generation of white papers on network architecture,aiming at promoting the evolution of IP MAN network architecture for operators,in order to meet the arrival of the era of Internet of Things and cloud computing.This paper analyses the status quo,service status and existing problems of IP MAN network of current operators.With the large-scale access network of intelligent devices,the large increase of Session session connection number,the dynamic change of network status and the interaction of IP protocols,the CPU computing and processing capacity of routers and switches in IP MAN becomes the bottleneck;with the large-scale deployment test of fixed network and 5G network,the CPU computing and processing capacity of routers and switches in IP MAN becomes the bottleneck.Points,BRAS devices in IP MAN are becoming larger and larger,and can not be deployed independently,and can not achieve resource sharing.With the deployment of value-added services and the overlapping development of multiple services,service development response cycle is long,capacity is weak,and the intelligent control of the network can not be realized.Based on the technical characteristics of SDN and key technical indicators such as SDN controller,SDN switch,OpenFlow and network function virtualization,this paper designs a SDN scheme which is suitable for the development of operator IP MAN.By separating the management and control planes of routers and switches into the virtual cloud resource pool based on X86 architecture,it can be used for the management of various network protocols.Control,policy issuance,process scheduling,routing selection,etc.At the same time,VM virtualization technology is used to realize resource sharing,SDN controller and northward interface are used to realize flexible business scheduling,and users can choose their own package.The forwarding plane is still carried out by routers and switches for routing and forwarding packet information in IP MAN.Finally,the feasibility of software defining network SDN deployment is verified by testing and analyzing network equipment configuration and performance indicators.This research is helpful to the network evolution of operator IP MAN,and has the significance of guiding the implementation of project construction.
