Meta surface has attracted much attention for its unique physical characteristics and functions of improving various performance of microwave devices,so it becomes a hot point.Integrated substrate gap waveguide(ISGW)is improved from gap waveguide(GW)and can conduct quasi-TEM wave.Compared with GW,ISGW overcome the shortcomings of complex processing,huge volume and unstable air substrate,and reduce the electric size by introducing the medium substrate,ISGW has advantages in millimeter wave frequency.This paper summarizes the research of above two novel techniques,analyses their characteristics and study the combination of them.Main work of this paper can be divided into three parts:Chapter Two focuses on the analysis of meta surface and SIGW.Firstly,the research methods are divided into three kinds which are method of effective parameter extraction,method of plane wave and method of surface wave and the focus and the model of each method is introduced.Then the ISGW is analyzed including evolution and advantages.Some simulation results are put in Chapter Three.At last,formula of microstrip line impedance matching and principle of circularly polarization is given.Chapter Three studies a high isolation meta surface structure.The structure is formed by etching periodical square slots.A researcher used it in a MIMO antenna but remains the characteristics unknown.Based on above work,this chapter introduces the evolution,uses the method of effective parameter extraction to analyze its unique characteristics and make some simulation which matches the above work.Chapter Four combines the above two novel techniques and puts forward an integrated substrate gap waveguide-fed slot-coupled linearly polarization antenna.The antenna uses the ISGW structure for feeding to suit the millimeter wave frequency and couple the energy to the radiation structure through the slot in its ground.This chapter introduces the antenna configuration and simulation results,and analyzes the working principal of resonance mode.Some parametric study and structure optimization is also made.Chapter Five puts forward an integrated substrate gap waveguide-fed slot-coupled circularly polarization antenna by doing some transformation of the meta surface based on Chapter Four.This chapter introduces the antenna configuration,analyzes the principal of circularly polarization through effective circuit method and gives simulation results and the parameter adjustment.Processing and measurement are also done.The comparison with other similar antennas is also given.At last,the design process of this kind antenna is summarized.This paper mainly focuses on the combination of the two techniques.By using the meta surface to realize good performance,using the ISGW to reduce the leakage of original microstrip line,this paper does some research by designing slot-coupled antenna to show its good performance.But some discussion is not complete which need more research.
