Satellite communication is becoming more and more important in today's communication system.With satellites as the relay stations for the communication among the nodes,satellite communication is more reliable and its communication range is wider than common communication systems.Since the router in the thesis is based on embedded Linux,it is necessary to first briefly introduce the embedded system and the advantages of the routers designed by embedded Linux.And how to port the Linux system on embedded chips is also elaborated.The second part is about how to implement the route function on the ported Linux system.The operating principle of the router,together with the implementation of the routing protocol and the porting process,must be analyzed.In order to achieve a stable communication quality,the router will conduct the CPM modulation in the FPGA before sending data.Therefore,the ARM processor needs to deliver the data to the FPGA and then the data is modulated there.The virtual network adapters are designed to transfer the data between the ARM and the FPGA,and to control the link transmission during the interaction.Finally,the encapsulation and the performance verification of the whole router are discussed.The former process includes punching the shell,welding the internal circuits,and adding more indicator light marks,so that the router can be presented.
