Hybrid Wireless Mesh Network(WMN)has both advantages of backbone Mesh network and client Mesh network.It is the most widely used typical network architecture in WMN.Because of the multi-hop information transmission mode and open wireless media of hybrid WMN,it is easier to be regarded as the target by network attackers than traditional access technology.After the network encounters malicious attacks,malicious nodes will change the routing information of each node,so that the packet can not reach the destination node,causing network performance degradation or even paralysis.Secure routing protocol,as a standard for specifying the communication mode of nodes,makes the response to network attacks more rapid and attracts wide attention of the industry.When network attacks occur,secure routing protocol can effectively improve the network performance of hybrid WMN and maintain normal communication between nodes.At present,the research on hybrid WMN secure routing protocol is still in its infancy.Some existing secure routing protocols mainly defend against external attacks by adding authentication and encryption mechanism,lacking of detection and processing mechanism for internal malicious nodes.At the same time,the existing secure routing protocols do not distinguish the impact of client and router nodes as detection objects on the network.Lack of targeted defense mechanism,the protection effect is not ideal.Therefore,it has great research value to design a new secure routing protocol for hybrid WMN.Aiming at the problem that existing secure routing protocols lack security detection mechanism to defend against intra-network routing attacks,this paper proposes a secure routing protocol D-HWMP(Defense-Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol)based on HWMP(Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol),which takes intra-network routing attacks as defense object,and improve the security vulnerabilities of HWMP protocol.This protocol initializes the network and establishes the whole network routing table through HWMP priori tree mode.According to the characteristics of routing attack,airtime link metric and destination node serial number are introduced into the defense strategy of routing protocol.The node is detected preliminarily by using space-time link measurement,and detection priority is set by destination node serial number to save routing cost.Based on the watchdog principle,a return detection mechanism is designed to monitor suspected malicious nodes according to priority.High detection accuracy.The simulation results of NS-3 show that D-HWMP canimprove the average throughput of the network,reduce the average packet loss rate and have high detection efficiency when encountering routing attacks.Based on the D-HWMP protocol,this paper proposes a cooperative secure routing protocol CHWMP(Collaborative Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol)based on the energy state of nodes,aiming at the problem that most existing secure routing protocols do not distinguish different nodes in hybrid WMN as detection objects.Considering the energy state of nodes,different detection mechanisms are selected for different node attributes between client and router,which reduces the amount of data needed to be processed by a single node and improves the detection efficiency.This protocol innovatively introduces the energy detection module,proposes the detection index of the effective energy efficiency,and establishes the node state-oriented detection mechanism.At the same time,in order to be compatible with the two detection mechanisms,a new link metric calculation method is proposed and applied in the preliminary detection.The two detection mechanisms work together.In the process of dealing with malicious nodes,the root node broadcasts PERR(path error),which saves the overhead of network caching.The simulation results of NS-3show that CHWMP can improve the average throughput,reduce the average packet loss rate and maintain normal network communication when hybrid WMN network encounters routing attacks.Compared with D-HWMP protocol,CHWMP has higher detection efficiency.This paper presents a new link metric and detection index for hybrid WMN secure routing protocol,and provides a theoretical basis for the design of cooperative secure routing protocol.
