The broadband satellite communication system of STOCOM(Shanghai Stock Communication CO..LTD)is a private network with a distributed star topology throughout the country,which transfer real-time data such as stock quotes to the market participants where the satellite ROT(Receive-Only Terminal)is located on,Examples of the participants include securities companies,fund management companies,banks or other companies from the securities industry who are authorized as qualified data receivers.The system is a safety-critical system for any communication failure would exert significant effect on investee's returns,so that the Operations and Maintenance(O&M)holds a position of great responsibility.According to the high reliability and security requirements as mentioned above,the system do not communicate directly with the public network especially to prevent the attacks and sabotages from the external network.As a coin has two sides,the security measures leads to a problem of remote server status monitoring in real-time automatically.So far most of the brokerage firms around the country have implemented local SCADA(supervisory control and data acquisition)systems.But the master station in the stock market quotation systems is still relying on manual work of the maintenance staffs at remote sites who inspect the satellite receiving station at regular intervals.To accommodate FAST Quotation of the Shanghai Stock Exchange which would be released and to improve the maintenance SLA(Service Level Agreement),an automatic monitoring system needs to be developed.Taking into account the requirements in security,universal,modularity,affordable and other respects,this paper presents a method by recognizing s Qart Code which is designed to prevent code injection under security considerations to achieve the solution to the problem in secure communication between intranet and extranet.By applying the approach,the paper designs and implements a real-time remote monitoring system which can be used to diagnosis nearly 4000 remote satellite earth stations in the quotation systems.The main work and contributions in this paper are listed as follow:(1)Critical design of the real-time remote monitoring system.To solve the problem of communications between intranet and extranet,the paper presents a new method of real-time barcode recognition which is reliable coded and robust designed for making tampering easy to be distinguish by human vision.And Telnet is used to acquire data of the industry-specific satellite receivers actively.(2)Modular architecture design of a system consisting of two separate parts,the intranet detection system,and the extranet feedback system.The design includes the intranet data acquisition and logic handlers,data visualization including continuous displays of the s Qart Cod,setting the threshold of SLA;the extranet data reception and logic handlers including the decoding of the s Qart Code continuously,design of disaster recovery plan and crisis alert procedure,and an alarm information pushing module in the extranet.(3)Design security policies in communications to solve the reliability and security problem which caused by using bar-code recognition technology to transfer data between intranet and extranet.Develop a truncated,nonsystematic Reed-Solomon algorithm with MATLAB to realize the design of s Qart code which has the capability to prevent code-injection.(4)System realization,implementation,optimization,testing and deployment.Realize the modules by the popular technologies of JFree Chart,Fmj,Jni,Storm,etc.optimized system achieved the performance that it can decode 27 decode s Qart codes per second averagely with the camera using 30 fps(frames per second),the static mistake rate is 0,and the speed of decoding is 7 milliseconds per code.The actual results is better than the simulation data using Lab VIEW.It is proved that the external system satisfies the functional requirements of second-level monitoring by being developed the ability to recognize the s Qart code displaying in the intranet which changes per second continuously.The main work done in this paper is contributed to a specific project of STOCOM.It is proved that the design and implementation of the paper is feasible and valid by deploying actually of a remote station(a securities company in the southwest China)and a master station in Shanghai.
