As the requirement of time and development,President Xi Jinping put forward "one belt&one road" in 2013 which means a inclusive benefit is covering the countries along.But American press circles are not take it for granted,they think "one belt&one road" is a new and efficient measure that disorganize the new round of strategic containment of America.There is no doubt that America is the important element and object if China wants to build diplomatic environment,so it's necessary to know how do American think.This paper chose the most representative newspaper in U.S.-The New York Times to analyze all reports about "one belt&one road" which based on news frame and news discourse analysis.In additional,some opinions from American think tank about "one belt&one road" are collected in this paper to know all aspects that The New York Times interpret and understand the propose on the basis of subjective ideology and intertextuality theory.On the other hand,whether if American mainstream media can report "one belt&one road objectively,actively,constructively is also an important object to research.Through the analysis of The New York Times report on "one belt&one road,here comes the conclusion: those American mainstream media represented by The New York Times are prevent and vigilant even have prejudice and misunderstanding about "one belt&one road".Besides,from the aspect of subjectivity of news reporting,the U.S.is care about Chinese political intention and ambition behind the propose but the economic and cultural benefit that "one belt&one road" can bring.In a word,it is a long way to improve the communication and mechanism of global image.
