Due to the improvement of network facilities and the innovation of hardware technology,people are increasingly inclined to watch high quality video content.Traditional streaming media transmission protocols cannot meet people's demand for video services due to it's defects.In this situation,dynamic adaptive streaming technology emerged as the times require,and MPEG organization has developed the MPEG-DASH standard for this purpose.The audience's satisfaction with the experience of watching the video is an important indicator to measure the performance of the video services.Improving the quality of the user experience is a topic of concern to the industry.In the MPEG-DASH protocol,only the content of media transmission and media organization form is standardized,and the bitrate selection algorithm has not been clearly defined.Based on the quality of user experience,this paper combines the adaptive bitrate selection algorithm with the improvement of user experience quality.The main work completed include:1.The fluency of video playback is the primary factor affecting the quality of user experience.An experience quality model for a single video slice based on the premise that video playback does not occur is given.2.Combining the network bandwidth prediction information and the buffer capacity information,this article proposes a bitrate selection algorithm based on the quality of experience to maximize the overall experience quality of multiple video segments in the future.The simulation results show that the proposed method has some improvement in performance compared with the traditional adaptive bitrate selection algorithm.3.Apply the adaptive bitrate selection algorithm to the web page player.Design and implement each module of the player,the test results show that the adaptive playback function can be basically realized.
