Development Of Bluetooth Radio Frequency Automatic Test System

Any Bluetooth Terminal wants to enter the EU market,It must go through compliance testing which provide by its authorized testing laboratory using approved test equipment according to the standard EN 300328.May 2014,The EU updated the new version V1.8.1 of standard EN300328 replaced the old version V1.7.1.The new version becomes stricter,the traditional test methods and test equipment have not complied with the new standards.So,if there has no new test proposal,the lab will not get accreditation by EU.The paper shows a Bluetooth Automated Test Systems which be designed and developed according to the new standard requirements.The main research of the paper is:(1)According of the testing standards and principle of Bluetooth technology,analysis of the test cases which required by the Bluetooth equipment,including the test environment,test conditions,test limits.(2)Analysis of the Bluetooth protocol and RF testing method,Constructed the different test scenarios of each test case,and implemented all the tasks by the RF test instruments.(3)Designed and develop of the RF switch unit and filter unit.With the fast and accurate control of the different radio frequency link,Changed the different test environment to achieve the full automatic test of the Bluetooth radio frequency.(4)Software programming by means of SCPI,via the GPIB interface,Lan port and other interfaces to achieve control of the entire test equipment.In user interface terms,designed the selection of test items and test cases,the test data analysis and test results export.And then,open some adjustable test parameters which facilitate research and debug,made test clearer and easier.The development of Bluetooth RF automatic test system has been successfully completed and worked in the laboratory,the accurate and efficient testing verified the correctness and effectiveness of the paper.
