Study On TV Communication Of Family Letter From The Perspective Of Communication Ritual

As a private medium,family letter is not only a text for people to record their thoughts,but also an important carrier for emotional communication and maintenance with family and friends.At the same time,it can also reflect some historical developments and changes of our country and nation.With the emergence and popularity of mobile communication tools,family letter gradually fades out of people's life.Under the impact of the wave of pan-entertainment,cultural and emotional TV programs represented by“Letters Alive”,“the Reader”,“Family Letter” and “Letter from China” have become a clear stream in the era of entertainment variety show hegemony.The broadcast of this kind of program once again brings the traditional communication way of family letter to the public.Family letter has turned from traditional private interpersonal communication tools to public communication and even become an important source of program ratings.The program makes use of the real content of the letter and the cultural meaning behind to arouse the emotional resonance of the audience and jointly create a collective memory belonging to everyone.The communication of family letter in TV program is ritualized.In order to understand ritualized communication of family letter in such TV programs,this thesis adopts literature research method and content analysis method.This paper makes a simple analysis of the basic situation,background and characteristics of the communication of family letter in the program,and follows the theoretical framework of the concept of communication ceremony.It specifically studies the selection of different themes and contents of family letter in the ritualized communication,which constitutes the script selection of the ceremony.The historical and cultural significance behind the family letter,the setting of the program stage and props,and the resonance of the audience together construct the three-dimensional space of the family letter communication ceremony;The live interpretation of the host,messenger,interpreter and other roles jointly promoted theformation of ritualized communication process.The participation,witness and interaction of the audience inside and outside the venue become the scene witness of the family letter communication ceremony.The last chapter mainly analyzes the ritualized communication value of family letter in TV programs from the perspective of the main body,communicator and participant.That is,the pursuit of social identity by ritual subjects,the need of ritual communicators to maintain social order,inherit excellent history and culture,and build collective memory,and the resonance of family and country feelings of ritual witnesses.
