3D printing can print the complex model with the stable manufacturing cost.It also has the characteristics of saving materials,ready for personal manufacture and so on.And it is becoming one of hot researches in manufacture fields in recent years.However,the problems of low printing speed and unstable printing quality have constrained the application of 3D printing.DLP mask projection 3D printer is one of important 3D printing techniques.It exposures a layer once a time and it raises the printing speed efficiently.However,the printable maximum size is limited because of limitation of light source.In this thesis,we focus on the problems of limited printable area and unstable printing quality.The principal works include as follows:Firstly,we propose a large size mask projection 3D printing scheme that using multiple projectors.In the first place,we establish the relationship between the gray levels and the output energy,and we can get the projection function.Then a large-area printing plane is established by tiling multiple projectors and we can automatically get the tilling pattern of the projector set.Further,we get the optimal gray levels distribution by combining the projection function with tiled multiple projectors.Finally,slices are automatically segmented based on the tiling pattern of the projector set,and the gray levels of these slices are reassigned based on the images of the corresponding projectors.Secondly,we propose a visual based curing status surveillance scheme.First of all,we analyze the relationship between visual image and the position of optical projection,and we get the best quantitative expression for them.Further,we analyze the interaction mechanism of resin materials and UV illuminations.And the qualitative relationship between the solidifying status of resin material and its reflectance characteristics could be obtained.Based on the relationship,a visual based curing status surveillance and recognition scheme is designed.Finally,the printed control is implemented based on the visual monitor.The proposed scheme explores a kind of visual based 3D printing surveillance and controlling mechanism.It can stop the waste printing procedure as soon as possible and improve the utilization coefficiency of the resin materials.Finally,we develop a DLP based 3D printing controlling system for mask projection printers.Firstly,we introduce the design theory of each module.And we discuss the module selection for the main elements.Secondly,by following the operate process of existed mask projection 3D printer,the software includes model processing,slice processing,parameter settings and print process controlling and so on.
